Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

My current role is a business analyst where I guide clients to improve their processes and efficiency through technology implementation. Through communicating closely between IT and business stakeholders, I help to actualize ideas and make a real impact on their business.

I also love to reach out and share my experiences in hopes of helping others and building learning community. Be it sharing sessions about the Business Analyst role, or the Salesforce technology product, I believe it elevates the team in both knowledge and spirit.

What has been the most exciting thing during your time with us so far?

The most exhilarating moments has to be client workshops, where I get to facilitate a free flow of ideas and opinions that drives innovation. It starts with organizing the group towards a common goal and formulating the problem statement, and driving towards a fruitful discussion of ideas, and finally replaying it back. The biggest satisfaction is when I see the client’s reaction that goes “That’s right”.

How does Capgemini support your professional growth and self-development?

There is no shortage of reminders to upskill and keep on learning! As an avid learning, I leverage Capgemini’s structured learning and development courses and vouchers for accredited certifications. Apart from that, we are challenged to be bold and take on new initiatives. Knowing that I have safety net of mentors and advisors, it empowers me to stretch myself beyond my comfort zone.

What’s the best thing about working with Capgemini?

When a group of people bands together towards a common goal, we can hear each other, trust each other and after which, the team spirit will surface! Being with the people I work with daily, there is not a dull moment as we share our cross-functional expertise. Everyone brings something different to the table – a different knowledge, a different mindset, a different perspective, and keeps it all exciting.

How are you working towards the future you want?

I continuously deepen my technology knowledge and work towards being a subject-matter-expert, in hopes of being a consultant to our clients. Broadening my horizons, I hope to take my expertise across applications and industries, into a topic dear to me – sustainability.
