14:25-14:45Keynote Speech: “Elevate your Possible with Augmented Engineering – Gen AI is not Enough!” – presented by Andy Vickers

Gen AI is emerging from the niche to the mainstream – from a tool available only to the data scientist specialist, to a topic of strategic significance that has the ability to disrupt an organization’s share price. 

In this talk Dr Vickers will discuss the impact of generative AI on the engineering discipline, the possibilities introduced by the technology, and the constraints of the engineering world that must be overcome for widespread engineering adoption. Fundamentally, Gen AI is not (by itself) enough, a more nuanced application is required as we see the emergence of a new discipline of Augmented Engineering – something for which all engineering leaders must prepare – doing nothing is not an option.

Andy Vickers

CTO AI, Vice President, Capgemini Engineering

Dr Vickers has 30 years of experience in leading edge international engineering. He is currently the Chief Technical Officer with responsibility for the application of Artificial Intelligence as applied to Engineering Research and Development. He is an experienced keynote and holds Masters and Doctoral degrees from the University of York. In addition to this he is Fellow of the British Computer Society and the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Ivar Aune

Head of the Nordic generative AI Centre of Excellence, Capgemini

 Ivar is often-used as public speaker and represents the Nordics in many of the initiatives run by the various parts of the Group on generative AI. He was one of the main authors behind the book “The future of Data” and he has also been the main representative for the survey “The Nordic AI frontier” which was released in June 2024.

Meghan is the Head of Applied Innovation Exchange for the Nordics at Capgemini, leading innovation strategy and client engagement. She has a strong background in service design and innovation, having previously served as Senior Innovation Consultant at Capgemini, working with major clients like IKEA. Her career includes roles such as Senior Service Designer at Idean and Head of Brand Creative at Joss & Main Europe.
