The automotive industry is rapidly moving toward autonomous driving, with intensive research and development efforts by manufacturers. Therefore, operational support teams are essential for smooth development, managing tasks such as data collection, storage, aggregation, and supporting our customers in the model training and simulation stages. This is where our engineers step in, ensuring the stability of the platforms on which our automotive customers’ research departments work.
Problems can arise at any stage, especially during data collection and transfer, due to hardware problems or network fluctuations, and here Capgemini operations teams play a key role in quickly resolving such issues, ensuring uninterrupted research continuity within the project.

We are developing solutions for the future based on 5G technology, which are used in autonomous cars – the systems we implement allow vehicles to establish connections between each other, so they can inform each other of approaching dangers, for example. Solutions of this type make it possible for humans to optimize traffic on the road, resulting in greater driving comfort or road safety.

Using 5G technology, we are also improving the operation of factories belonging to one of our automotive customers. Our solutions allow us to remotely control the car production process in Germany – thus optimizing people’s working time and giving them the ability to control machines regardless of where they work from.

Together with our client from the automotive industry, we have developed a MES (Manufacturing Execution System) application – a system responsible for managing a huge factory. Our solution is designed to help coordinate some processes related to production (warehousing, packaging, sales coordination, or determining the working time of employees), which ultimately is expected to improve the functioning of the factory. At the crucial moment, as many as 120 people were involved in the project!

For a client in the cosmetics industry, we provide extensive ICT infrastructure support and management of internal processes that support and ensure the continuity of supply chains and uninterrupted operation of production lines.

Our team supports order management tools and systems responsible for the operation of production lines, as well as manages the process of preparing and implementing both new and upgrading existing applications. In addition, we provide expertise and handle the automation of various infrastructure and process elements.
The team is responsible for supporting tools such as Terraform, Gitlab, Kubernetes – all based on one of the leading cloud solution providers.
