Capgemini was a proud Luminary Sponsor at Google Cloud Next ’24, which took place from April 9-11 at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. The event, attended by over 30,000 visionaries and industry leaders from around the globe, was a tremendous success, offering unparalleled opportunities for innovation and growth.

Throughout the week, attendees explored strategies and solutions in Generative AI, Cloud, Data/AI, and Software Engineering tailored to their business needs. They had the chance to meet with Google Cloud industry and product experts, listen to leading clients share their experiences on stage, and interact with experiential demos featuring cutting-edge technology in Retail, Telco, and Financial Services.

Capgemini’s leadership in Generative AI was recognized with the Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award in three categories, highlighting the strength of its partnership with Google Cloud:

Our Activation zone featuring an immersive demo with a coffee shop was a big success! Our Google Cloud GenAI-powered Soul Machines barista assistant “Casey” took orders, attracting a large crowd. The line extended to over 100 people, and the experience was presented through a HYPERVSN hologram.

In addition, Capgemini hosted Google Cloud thought leaders in 7 Cloud Realities podcasts, where they discussed leading trends in the market providing valuable insights on Cloud, Generative AI, Sustainability topics.

Capgemini partnered with Ecologi to plant trees globally, underscoring our commitment to make a positive impact on the planet. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about Business, meet planet. resulting in 4520 trees planted and funded the prevention of 130.04 tCO2e from being emitted through 4 verified carbon avoidance projects.

The event truly exemplified how connections can transform businesses.

This session was hosted by Tim Sandkuhler from Capgemini and Samantha McConnell alongside Chirag Gheewala, Cox Communications to explore how Cox Communications enhances sales and service value using Google Cloud’s Vertex AI suite. Uncover use cases improving digital sales, NPS, and reducing contact center costs.

Virgin Voyages: Mastering business continuity and operational support

This session was hosted by Kim Wilson alongside Sanjana Gupta from Capgemini and Frank Farro from Virgin Voyages to explore how the Google Cloud infrastructure built by Capgemini, facilitated the migration of all applications and workloads for Virgin Voyages. This migration led to reduced business costs, lower on-premises infrastructure expenses, and eliminated disbursement costs for multiple cloud providers.

Solution lightning talk: Leveraging real-time 3D technology for augmented commercial property insurance

This session was led by Shivakumar Balasubramanian Chief Innovation Officer, Financial Services, Insurance, from Capgemini and Rory Armes, VP, Industry & Global Head of Delivery Studios at Unity to explore how Intelligent Property redefines commercial property insurance, empowering you with actionable insights for informed decision-making and sustainable business growth.

Many organizations had moved to the cloud, but they’re not achieving the results they expected. “Why did the process seem so slow? Why are they not reaping the anticipated cost savings? Get developer assistance customized to your organization code with Gemini

In this session attendees learned to bring artificial intelligence (AI) assistance to their development teams to increase their productivity. Capgemini took them through the ways they could use Duet AI in their code editor to expedite their application delivery. They also learned how they could now customize Duet AI with their own private codebase, with AI assistance deeply tailored to their organization’s libraries and coding conventions, and how Duet could provide insights to help them understand its effects for their teams. Capgemini shared their own experiences of Duet AI in coding.
