Capgemini wins two contracts with the CTTI of the Generalitat de Catalunya to drive its digitization and to explore innovative metaverse and AI use cases

Barcelona, May 31, 2023 – Capgemini announced today that it has signed two contracts with the Centro de Telecomunicaciones y Tecnologías de la Información (CTTI)[1] of the Generalitat de Catalunya, to the value of 37 million euros over the next 2 years, both extendable by up to five years. As a digital services provider, Capgemini will enable the development and maintenance of all web portals, intranets and more than 100 applications of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The agreement also includes two Proof of Concepts to explore the possibilities offered by the metaverse and the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI).

The first contract covers content management and digital analytics for all the web portals of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the intranets of its 14 departments. The second agreement comprises support and maintenance of more than 100 of the organization’s applications, including those related to the social and welfare services of the Servicio de Ocupación de Cataluña (SOC), the applications of the Departamento de Presidencia, those belonging to the Departamento de Empresa y Trabajo de la Generalitat de Catalunya, and the applications of the Instituto Catalán del Suelo (INCASOL).

To accompany CTTI throughout its transformation and innovation roadmap, a Capgemini team of nearly 200 professionals will build an end-to-end service delivery model.


[1] The CTTI is the public company that integrates all IT and telecommunications services of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Spain. It is responsible for designing, building, coordinating and deploying technological projects to provide solutions to the departments and different bodies of the Public Administration. It is attached to the Department of the Presidency. Its mission is to accompany the Generalitat in its digital transformation and coordinate innovation, transformation and data governance and to guarantee an excellent service close to the customer that responds to their technological and IT needs.
