I like the flexibility I get in my work which allows commitments in both work and life

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

In my current role as the Chief Architect of the Europe Cluster, I am responsible for helping our Strategic Deal Team to address complex opportunities. It’s interesting to solve these problems with the best technology solutions and in the process, leverage Capgemini’s assets. Every day is like solving a small part of the puzzle with a clear understanding of the milestone to achieve.

I also lead the Europe Cluster Architect community that brings together architecture talent across 12 countries into a single forum.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

There are many challenges and complexities in my job. It brings uncertainties at times, but strong bonding with colleagues makes the resolution path easier. Capgemini is a people-centric company in a true sense!

I like the flexibility I get in my work which allows commitments in both work and life. Moreover, Capgemini provides a plethora of opportunities. You can rest assured that you can work in your area of interest and get rewarded if you keep performing well. The sky is not the limit here!

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

Upskilling is one of the strongest levers and this is even more evident with the pandemic and its new ways of working. Mistakes are bound to happen when taking the risk of trying new innovative solutions. I believe continuous learning is inevitable and a mantra of survival. The Capgemini learning platform with its rich repository is providing these tools to aspirants.

Capgemini focuses on customer centricity; listening to our customers is cherished but it also ensures not to oversell. I am proud to work in one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies that puts a human face on the client’s purpose stories.

Capgemini’s culture of freedom provokes the entrepreneurial spirit. The pandemic has restricted in-person networking activities, but the digital form of these events is no less fun. Capgemini Global Architect summits are the most attended events even with the new norm.

How are you working towards the future you want?

I am bringing more agility to my solutions, by adapting a holistic approach to Agile architecture. I continue to demonstrate innovation in cloud and data to bring the right level of delivery efficiency.

Today, customers are more watchful of their carbon footprint and hence I like that Capgemini is at the forefront of it by planning to become net-zero by 2030.

I am working towards a self-sustained Architect community, integrating the diverse talent pool within the Europe cluster, delivering value to our clients, and enhancing core assets of the internal organization.
